Alford racing

Once again race day was upon us and we set off to Alford for the northern Scottish heats of the Greenpower F24 race. The weather was fine with no wind or rain, everyone was very excited and nervous, including the adults and once again we upheld the tradition of wearing stripy socks.  It was the first time the team had raced on any form of track, and with other cars, and the practice laps went very well although they only had 12 minutes each. There were 2 races and our team did extremely well for their first ever outings and we placed 7th in both races out of a total of 15 teams. Nicole, Jade, Ciara, Jessica, Fraser, Alen and Alwyn were a credit to the school with exemplary behaviour and they all had such a wonderful day. We are all looking forward to the next stage, with a trip to Rockingham for the International Championships.
