Nine girls from Hazlehead are currently studying the NESCOL run GIE course and attended an event organised by SHELL on Friday. Their challenge was to address a real world problem and design a new energy solution. Our girls did brilliantly and I was told on two separate occasions how the girls had been a credit to Hazlehead Academy.
As well as representing the school so well, the ultimate aim of the day was a competition. They had to present their energy solution and concept to over 200 people and a panel of expert judges. They competed against 22 teams and one of our two teams came FIRST!
The girls involved are listed below.

It was a fantastic achievement for all girls involved.
