Hazlehead march on in Scottish Shield

Yesterday, there were successes for both the U13 and U14 football teams in the Scottish Shield. The U13 team traveled to Forfar FC’s home ground – Station Park – to play against Forfar Academy, The game was a very competitive and tight game but Hazlehead’s clinical finishing and high work rate  on a massive pitch ensured they won the game 5-2. Everyone in the squad played their part in ensuring Hazlehead get a home tie in the last 32 of the competition.

 

The U14 team were also in action in the Scottish Shield yesterday where they met rivals Cults Academy on the astro at Cults. After going 1-0 down to a good Cults team, Hazlehead stormed back to win the match 3-1 and progress into the last 32 of the competition. Their next round opponents will be the Nicolson Institute, Stornoway – the team they traveled to last year.
