The PTA Christmas Fair was on Thursday 19th November. A good crowd of visitors from the school community enjoyed entertainment from the school choir, refreshments and were able to browse the numerous stalls. Equally impressive was the set of skills being displayed by students from all year groups. From the craftsmanship of the Young Enterprise Teams, the baking on offer from the Greenpower Team, the imaginative clock designs being sold by the ASDAN Group, the musical skills of the choir and without a doubt the sales techniques of a large number of students (particular mention to Ross Walker and Kieran Stephen). Hazlehead Academy aims to see all our students reach positive destinations at university, college, apprenticeships or places of work and their success in each of these destinations will be greatly helped by the development of skills such as those demonstrated above; interpersonal skills, marketing, design, sales & negotiation skills and practical abilities.
Parents and visitors left having seen yet more positive examples of the heart our school. I left with a significant number of IOU debts to clear!
