Hazlehead Shoe Box Appeal

Hazlehead Academy’s Global Citizenship Group have organised a shoe box appeal to help spread that holiday cheer to underprivileged children here in Aberdeen. The boxes will be distributed by the local charity Befriend a Child. There is no need to put together an entire box by yourself (although that is more than welcome) but every little piece that can be contributed gets us that much closer to bringing a much needed smile to a child’s face.

Items that would be ideal for a shoe box include:

toy truck, harmonica, yo-yo, skipping rope, ball, small puzzles, soft toy, pencils & sharpeners, crayons or felt pens, stamps & ink pad sets, writing pads or notebooks & paper, solar calculators, colouring & picture books, hat, gloves, scarf, sunglasses, hair accessories, jewellery set, wind up torch, wrapped sweets, shampoo, conditioner, body spray, wrapped sweets and chocolate etc.

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY HOME-MADE FOOD ITEMS OR THINGS THAT ARE OBVIOUSLY SECOND-HAND/WORN.

Donations can be handed in to Miss Morton in room 210 by Friday the 11th of December.

It’s time to put on your Santa/Elf hats and spread the cheer that comes around this time of year!!!
